A Family's Testimonial to Our Care --
"As our children and I reflect back, memory loss began about five years ago. It happened in subtle ways. It is very frustrating when you’re asked the same question several times in an hour. As time went on, our family voiced concerns for our safety and well-being, such as "Dad should not be driving." Then Ken became very ill and was hospitalized.
After two weeks and many tests, they advised he be transferred to a nursing home. After checking several, we chose Redstone Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. They invited us to tour the community. In the almost year Ken has been a resident, he has been treated with respect and loving care. My family and I drop in frequently. I love the musical programs and the prayer services and like to observe the activities that are provided.
Sometimes I join my husband for mealtime. All of his medical needs are taken care of so there is little need to be transferred to a hospital. His primary care doctor is in-house, a definite advantage. Dad is content and happy in what he calls his home and we know he is safe and loved. After 62 years of marriage, it is bittersweet and I miss him but I know he is in a place that is good for him."
