Lowell Health Care Center is a 160-bed skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Lowell, MA. Our Staff is dedicated to providing the most sophisticated Medical and Neuro-Rehabilitative Care in the industry. Our unique program focuses on the treatment of individuals with traumatic brain injuries, Huntington’s disease and other neurological disorders. By cultivating a stimulating environment we help our Residents acquire the functional living skills they need to rebuild their lives. Residents experience social learning settings in which they acquire skills through therapeutic interactions with others.
Using principles and techniques of applied behavioral analysis, our Staff creates experiences that maximize positive change. Treatment Programs focus on meaningful individual goals that enable Residents to return to less restrictive environments and our strong clinical orientation ensures superior levels of Medical, Nursing and Rehabilitative Care. Most importantly the goal is to restore each individual to his or her optimal level of functionality and independence.
Lowell Health Care Center believes that superior clinical care leads to Residents who are able to achieve the highest level of function possible. Our skilled team of professionals is trained to address the physical, social and emotional problems that each Resident faces. Following a comprehensive assessment, each Resident receives an individualized Plan of Care. A wide variety of experiences enhance the rehabilitation process. We provide a number of community enrichment opportunities including trips to sporting events, theater and restaurants/malls. Our on-site greenhouse provides positive healing opportunities. Additionally, our Rehabilitation Team utilizes a variety of technologies, including the WII system, to maximize our Residents' abilities.
JamesR.Beeler,MHSA,LNHA Administrator James (Jim) R. Beeler, the administrator of the Lowell Health Care Center, has thirty (30) years of experience in health care, and has been a nursing home administrator for twenty-three (23) years, working in New Hampshire, Vermont, Arizona, Colorado, and most recently in Massachusetts. Jim has also worked as a hospital administrator and an assisted living administrator, and he has considerable experience in all facets of health care operations.Jim holds a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from the School of Health Administration and Policy, Arizona State University (1983), and a B.A. in English Literature from Eisenhower College of the Rochester Institute of Technology (1975). Before coming to the Lowell Health Care Center in late 2012, Jim worked for six years for Revera Health Systems in Vermont. While in Vermont, he was Board Chair and President of the Vermont Health Care Association, from 2009-2011. Prior to going to Vermont, he worked as an administrator for Genesis Health Care, and also as an administrator for a county-owned and operated nursing facility in New Hampshire.
BridgetT.Lynch,RN,CBIS,WCC Director of Nursing Services Bridget Lynch, RN, the Director of Nursing Services at the Lowell Health Care Center, had held several different positions at the facility. She came to Lowell five years ago as the Facility Educator, and after three years was promoted to Assistant Director of Nursing. In 2013, she was again promoted to her current position of Director of Nursing (DNS). As DNS, Bridget oversees all aspects of the nursing department in a very busy Neurorehabilitation facility. Bridget is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, as well as a Certified Wound Care Nurse. Bridget has also worked as a Clinical Assessment Manager and Clinical Nurse Manager, and was an LPN Instructor for the Holden/St. Joseph School of Nursing. She has experience as a staff nurse at a Boston area hospital, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Saint Anselm College.
